For mating using couplings, the best glue is PVC primer/cement. For butt joints and other non-coupling connections I’ve had pretty good luck with polyurethane glues like gorilla glue or elmers glue all max.

For plumbing/pressure connections, the official PVC cements.  For stuff I’ve made out of PVC that doesn’t see pressure I use E6000 (http://www.homedepot.com/p/E6000-2-fl-oz-Clear-Adhesive-237032/203279322)  An excellent adhesive/sealant that I use for a multitude of things.

Cool tools really work.

A cool tool can be any book, gadget, software, video, map, hardware, material, or website that is tried and true. All reviews on this site are written by readers who have actually used the tool and others like it. Items can be either old or new as long as they are wonderful. We post things we like and ignore the rest. Suggestions for tools much better than what is recommended here are always wanted.
