Google has discontinued support for the e-reader app. I liked its links to the Gutenberg Project and its collection of public domain texts. Is there another e-reader out there with the same capabilities?

The Gutenberg Project (GP) is working on their mobile site, and it's looking pretty good. If you install a good eReader on your device, you should be able to browse Gutenberg on it, download the book, and automatically open it up in your eReader with no problem. What device are you looking to read on? The GP recommends FBReader for Android devices on this page, and there are several apple apps listed as well.
