Each weekday since the spring of 2003, Cool Tools has published a user-submitted review of a cool tool. So far that is nearly two thousand rave reviews. Cool Tools posts only positive reviews of superior things and ignores the rest. If something is not the best/cheapest/all-around greatest, it is not reviewed. Cool Tools reviews are written by folks (well-known and ordinary) who have personal experience with the product and its competitors. Reviewers are makers, tinkerers and doers of all stripes: writers and artists, pilots and firefighters, neuroscientists and bike messengers, contractors and gardeners, geeks and parents. Also the editors review their favorite tools. The user-submitted reviews are then selected, verified, and edited by Cool Tools editors. Reviews span a vast spectrum of handy items, including books, software, videos, hardware, raw materials, websites and more — essentially anything that is useful. Items can be new or old, but all are tried and true.

Stats

Cool Tools has a large and influential audience.
