It is like a mechanical pencil on steroids. The lead is about 3 inches long and 5.6mm in diameter. It&#8217;s furnished with a sharpened lead with a conical tip. There&#8217;s no pocket clip, but it goes well in my pants pocket. The lead (soft graphite) is rugged and only chips if dropped. There&#8217;s a sharpener built into the silver pushbutton cap. The sharpener will return the tip of the lead to a perfect conical point.
