We’ve owned our AmazonBasics 12-Sheet High-Security Micro-Cut Paper, CD, and Credit Card Shredder for 3 years and it gets used a couple of times a week; sometimes for dozens of sheets of paper. We’ve also shredded several credit cards and at least 1 CD/DVD disc that I can remember.

I’ve previously owned 2 or 3 other brand shredders which usually jammed or failed after a year or so. They also were strip shredders which made the task of reforming a document a possibility, greatly reducing its security. The AmazonBasics shredder is reliable and much more secure since it cuts stuff into “tiny pieces (5/32 by 15/32 inches).” It easily rolls on its castor wheels and has a useful size bin so it doesn’t need to be emptied very often. It has many, high reviews on Amazon and it’s also a bargain at $100.

[31
