It\u2019s a breathable cloth filtration mask with one-way air vents that prevent condensation from building up inside. It\u2019s comfortable to wear, doesn\u2019t suction to your face, and the straps are a lot easier to get on and off. They have 4 different kinds of filters available for dust, fumes, smoke, chemicals and stuff, down to .1 micron. The fact that it&#8217;s so comfortable means I&#8217;m not constantly ripping it off so it\u2019s actually doing its job \u2014 saving my sinuses, my lungs, and probably my life in the long run.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2019\/01\/devilworkwear.png\" alt=\"devilworkwear\" width=\"463\" height=\"500\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32877\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2019\/01\/devilworkwear.png 463w, https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2019\/01\/devilworkwear-278x300.png 278w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 463px) 100vw, 463px\" \/><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/dovetailworkwear.com\/collections\/pants\/products\/maven-slim-power-stretch-denim?variant=7413009154082\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dovetail Workwear Pants<\/a> ($99)<br \/>\nThese work pants are a gamechanger for women in trades. They fit really well, have lots of deep and specialized pockets, reinforced knees, and tool loops. They are made of super thick rugged denim that stretches. You can literally do squats in them with full mobility. The other thing I love, apart from the name and the function is the company was founded by three women, and their marketing is really diverse and inclusive of different body types, skin colors, and gender expressions. I have a pair of their Maven Slim Stretch back from when the brand used to be called Moxie and Moss, and it\u2019s pretty much all I wear in the shop. They have other cuts and styles, overalls, shirts, and other gear too. My one complaint is they are always out of stock because they\u2019re in such high demand!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2019\/01\/BlackDeckerMatrix.jpg\" alt=\"BlackDeckerMatrix\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32876\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2019\/01\/BlackDeckerMatrix.jpg 500w, https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2019\/01\/BlackDeckerMatrix-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2019\/01\/BlackDeckerMatrix-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2D5hDZS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Matrix<\/a> ($169)<br \/>\nI\u2019ve had a Craftsman Bolt-on tool for 6 years and it\u2019s probably the power tool I reach for most. It\u2019s a cordless, interchangeable multi-tool with one drill-type handle and a whole set of attachments that snap on and off. Unfortunately Craftsman discontinued them, but Black and Decker\u2019s version, The Matrix, looks about the same and it has 4.5 stars and 400+ reviews on Amazon so it\u2019s probably a safe bet. Theirs has attachments for a drill, sander, jigsaw, oscillating tool, router, and impact driver all in the base kit. You can also get a trim saw or a reciprocating saw. I use the heck out of the drill, trim saw, and sander on mine. It\u2019s definitely not going to replace a serious router or circular saw, but it\u2019s great for quick and dirty projects or anyone who has limited space or budget.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2019\/01\/Yongnuo-YN300.jpg\" alt=\"Yongnuo YN300\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32880\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2019\/01\/Yongnuo-YN300.jpg 500w, https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2019\/01\/Yongnuo-YN300-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2019\/01\/Yongnuo-YN300-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2D3Rf2B\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yongnuo 300 Air LED light<\/a> ($41)<br \/>\nThis is a low-profile, lightweight but high-powered LED light that\u2019s designed to be mounted to a camera, but really versatile in how it can be used. I\u2019m a novice when it comes to photography and video, but I\u2019ve been researching and starting to up my game when it comes to documenting my work. This light is inexpensive, and you can attach it not only to a camera, but also a light stand or tripod, it has adjustable brightness, color temperature, for tungsten or daylight, and it can be powered with AC power or a rechargeable battery. Adam Savage used a very similar LED panel to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JL3uZ88vA_0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">build a custom shop light<\/a>. One piece of advice: it doesn\u2019t come with <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2CbWPyc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">power supply<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2Mc8G4h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">battery or charger<\/a> so shop around for a good deal on one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also mentioned:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wethebuilders.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">We the Builders <\/a><br \/>\n&#8220;I work with a group called We the Builders that makes crowdsourced, 3D-printed sculptures, and what that means is we take a digital file or we scan an object. We bring that into the computer and slice it into sections, so we basically separate it into a grid, and then each of the sections is exported as a file for 3D printing. And you can go onto our website, download that file, and print it at home, and then you send us the part, and we collect parts for the whole sculpture. And in the end, we get a few hundred or, in some cases, a few thousand parts.
