They are very rugged, hold a great deal, and, because they are insulated, keep frozen foods relatively cold. They zip at the top and their handles can be altered so that you vertically can transport a hot pizza home. The are advertised to be leak proof but I have not yet had an accident to test this claim. Unlike other shopping bags I have used, they have stood up to a great deal of use without tearing or not being able to easily handle a full load.
