Learning to draw<\/strong>
\nThis hand-drawn book is the best course on art and drawing I\u2019ve seen. The cartoonist Lynda Barry has been teaching non-artists to draw, and she has somehow magically captured her class into this book called\u00a0Making Comics<\/a>. This guidance is particularly aimed at people who think they can\u2019t draw. It will teach you how to draw, more importantly how to see, and even more importantly how to create with originality, by taking yourself out of the way to see what shows up. It refreshed my very concept of art. I\u2019ve already given two copies of it away. \u2014 KK<\/p>\n

A fun interactive way to learn about game theory<\/strong>
\nYou have probably heard about the Prisoner\u2019s Dilemma, the classic Game Theory problem. This website, called\u00a0The Evolution of Trust<\/a>, lets you play the Prisoner\u2019s Dilemma against computer opponents who employ different strategies to maximize their winnings. You also get to see what happens when the computer players play against each other. \u2014 MF<\/p>\n

Convenient world clock<\/strong>
\nI often need a quick way to find the best time for meetings with people in other time zones, and I find\u00a0World Time Buddy<\/a>\u00a0is the best time converter visually. All of the overlapping business hours between two time zones are highlighted yellow, so I can easily decide the best hours to suggest. \u2014 CD<\/p>\n

Self-ID for iPhone<\/strong>
\nIf you find an iPhone and want to know whose it is, who lost it, use that phone to ask Siri: \u201cSiri, who\u2019s phone is this?\u201d and it will tell you. \u2014 KK<\/p>\n

Winter shampoo routine<\/strong>
\nIt\u2019s wintertime, which for me means my skin and scalp get itchy. Lotion helps my skin, but I don\u2019t want to put lotion in my hair. Instead, I\u2019ve been using a\u00a0J.R. Liggett\u2019s Tea Tree & Hemp Oil Shampoo Bar<\/a>\u00a0($7) and a $6\u00a0hair scalp massager<\/a>\u00a0to thoroughly shampoo my hair.
