It makes the case for why generational-scale thinking is beneficial, and summarizes what we know about implementing this framework. The aim is to make sure future generations succeed, which sometimes works against the easier goal of succeeding right now. When I see something that draws me in, it takes me down a rabbit hole of artist bios and their work and if they\u2019re on Instagram I immediately follow. I\u2019ve been slowly muting the meme accounts, influencers, and friends who overpost selfies, and I\u2019m curating an Instagram stream of beautiful art to inspire. \u2014 CD<\/p>\n<p><strong>The best documentaries of 2021<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you\u2019re in the mood for a documentary but aren\u2019t sure what to watch, bookmark this list of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esquire.com\/entertainment\/movies\/g35338893\/best-documentaries-of-2021\/?utm_campaign=Recomendo&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=join1440\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Esquire<\/em>\u2019s best documentaries for 2021<\/a>. Some of the documentaries, like Peter Jackson\u2019s Beatles documentary won\u2019t come out until later this year (but be sure to check out the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/UocEGvQ10OE?utm_campaign=Recomendo&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\">sneak peek<\/a>). \u2014 MF<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cheap hand truck<\/strong><br \/>\nOn my short list of under-appreciated items that every homestead should have is a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/geni.us\/oe8AYZF?utm_campaign=Recomendo&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\">lightweight movers\u2019 hand truck<\/a>. I use my hand truck far more than I ever guessed. I use it to haul appliances, bulk beverages or bottled water, boxes of books, 5-gallon tubs of paint, bags of soil \u2014 anything remotely heavy that I prefer to roll. If you have a garage of stuff, you\u2019ll use it. And it\u2019s the savior when you help friends move. It\u2019s cheap, too ($40), considering it will outlive me. Taller,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.homedepot.com\/p\/Harper-600-lbs-Capacity-Loop-Handle-Hand-Truck-BKTAK19\/202259413?utm_campaign=Recomendo&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\">slightly heftier ones<\/a>\u00a0are slightly more expensive ($63). \u2014 KK<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pass phrases are the new passwords<\/strong><br \/>\nAfter I shared last week\u2019s graphic \u2014\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.recomendo.com\/posts\/how-long-would-it-take-to-hack-your-password?utm_campaign=Recomendo&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\">How long would it take to hack your password<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 Recomendo reader\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/chief_mcconnell?utm_campaign=Recomendo&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\">John McConnell<\/a>\u00a0reached out to share that\u00a0<strong>pass phrases are the new passwords<\/strong>. \u2014 CD<br \/>\n<em>The password thing is very true. A guy named <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JasonFossen?utm_campaign=Recomendo&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\">Jason Fossen<\/a> (one of the absolute smartest Windows people on the planet and author of the Securing Windows SANS courses \u2026 ) showed me this back in 2017 and he actually did some calculation to push the chart all the way out to 100+ character passwords. Pass phrases are the new passwords and if long enough are virtually unbreakable at this point. Even without special characters. Your favorite passage from an obscure book is a good starting place. My pass phrases are about 40-50 characters each.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Rowing machine recommendation<\/strong><br \/>\nI wasn\u2019t sure what to expect from a sub-$250 rowing machine, but the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/geni.us\/sunny-rowing-machine?utm_campaign=Recomendo&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Revue%20newsletter\" target=\"_blank\">Sunny<\/a>\u00a0has proven to be a solid machine. It was easy to assemble (and came with a screwdriver, hex keys, and wrenches). Operation is smooth and very quiet. Resistance is magnetic and adjustable from 1 to 8.
