When I was in high school, in my shop class, we built a scale model house just like this one (from scaled blueprints). It was so much fun, so enlightening, and I fondly think back on that project often. I loved framing up the walls with scale 2x4s and 2x10s. Even though my\u00a0Dad<\/strong>\u00a0was a building contractor, and I learned a lot from him, I think I learned more about the overall mechanics of home building from\u00a0this type of model construction<\/a>\u00a0than anything else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
