I have a\u00a0full hardware store&#8217;s worth of stuff in my boxes mounted in a rack.\u00a0Each drawer slips completely out of the rack.\u00a0The top is clear so you can see what is inside of it,\u00a0which I love.\u00a0It&#8217;s got compartments, but they&#8217;re all self-registering in the bottom,\u00a0so they\u00a0are modular which means you can easily mix and match and rearrange them. They come in all different sizes and colors. Because of the clever design,\u00a0the inserts are separated from each other, so nothing cross-pollinates.<\/p>\n<p>You can pick up the case by the handle and carry it vertically without fear of the contents spilling inside.\u00a0Lastly,\u00a0one of the most difficult things about sorting boxes is that you need to bring them over to your work. But with the Sortimo, you merely lift out the handy compartment with the needed parts and bring that over to your bench and then take it back. It&#8217;s really brilliant. The boxes are kind of spendy;\u00a0A tray with inserts is about $60.\u00a0\u00a0But\u00a0I&#8217;ll have these for the rest of my life.\u00a0I&#8217;ve never had one of these fail.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2012\/10\/sortimo2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7352\" title=\"sortimo2\" src=\"https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2012\/10\/sortimo2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"407\" height=\"302\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2012\/10\/sortimo2.jpg 407w, https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2012\/10\/sortimo2-300x222.jpg 300w, https:\/\/kk.org\/cooltools\/files\/2012\/10\/sortimo2-404x300.jpg 404w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 407px) 100vw, 407px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThey are not so easy to find. Sortimo\u00a0is a German company that\u00a0actually builds these tool systems for ambulances and work vehicles in Europe. They have one US distributor who really hasn&#8217;t worked very hard to get the word out.
