In my travels in Asia I&#8217;ve seen bikes piled impossibly high with all manner of cargo, from livestock to cardboard. It&#8217;s really astounding what a bike can balance and transport. Dutch photographer Hans Kemp has focused his lens on the motorbike cargo culture of Vietnam. He&#8217;s gathered his collection of 148 examples of the unintended cargo of motorbikes into a very finely printed photobook, called naturally enough, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visionary-world.com\/bikes-vietnam-book-about.shtml\">Bikes of Burden<\/a>.   Here are a few examples from his book, which is also available on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/9628563734\/ref=nosim\/kkorg-20\">Amazon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kk.org\/streetuse\/bike_burden3.jpg\" height=\"266\" width=\"400\" border=\"1\" align=\"middle\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" alt=\"Bike Burden3\" \/><br \/>\nIt&#8217;s a remarkable living zoo of chickens and ducks on the way to the market.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kk.org\/streetuse\/bike_burden2.jpg\" height=\"591\" width=\"400\" border=\"1\" align=\"middle\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" alt=\"Bike Burden2\" \/><br \/>\nWhen the ducks are tiny they are taken to farms in smaller cages. Then farmers will raise the ducklets.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kk.org\/streetuse\/bike_burden1.jpg\" height=\"588\" width=\"400\" border=\"1\" align=\"middle\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" alt=\"Bike Burden1\" \/><br \/>\nThis guys sells music cassett tapes and offers a tiny hi-fi set to test them out and also serve as an advertisement.
