I’ve been using Cordpro reels for at least 10 years now and have found that they are a great way to spool up excess cable and keep it out of harm’s way. In use, they minimize trip hazards and tangles, and when wrapped up they make transport and storage much easier than any other mechanism I’ve used.
It physically divides the cable storage space in two so that it’s possible to pull on either end of the cable to extend as needed. This is hard to imagine, but flawless in use. I use the standard size Cordpro for extension cords (about 100′), air hoses (25-50′), antenna coax cables (100-150′) and drop light cables. They have recently added larger and smaller units.
