I don't know if this will answer your question but I actually invented and have patented a flipchart stand as I was looking for one that did the job that others out there do not do, as I use one all the time in my consulting company. So I did two years research and asked the selected participants in the study (10 men and 10 women) two simple questions. "What irritates you about the available flipchart/easel products out there?" and "If you could design, have access to or buy the very best flip chart stand - what would you like it to be able to do (functionality) and what would you want it to look like (aesthetics)?".
