Lay-Flat Keychain Compass

I'm looking to add a compass or compass/thermometer to my EDC on my keychain. All the ones I see on amazon are quite bulbous and look like they have too much bulk for the function. Can anyone recommend a flat, thin (say 1/4" to 1/8" thick) fob to add to my keychain?

I believe you're looking for something like this? http://www.leevalley.com/US/home/PrintPage.aspx?p=45180&ap=1 Not thin, but I still use my father's 40-year-old one. You may prefer: http://www.leevalley.com/us/wood/page.aspx?c=&cat=1,42363,42356,55733&p=55733 |
The Suunto Comet seems to be pretty darn small, but I don't see thickness in any product descriptions. It looks like they're no longer making this unit. If you like, get one quickly. |
maybe the Brunton 9041 Glow Mate Compass less than $10 on Amazon with reasonably good reviews. |
I own this one and it's pretty small and thin (and cheap): |
A cool tool can be any book, gadget, software, video, map, hardware, material, or website that is tried and true. All reviews on this site are written by readers who have actually used the tool and others like it. Items can be either old or new as long as they are wonderful. We post things we like and ignore the rest. Suggestions for tools much better than what is recommended here are always wanted.
