In general, plants that taste sweet or sour contain sugars, salts and acids and are likely not poisonous. Plants that taste bland usually contain high amounts of fiber and water and are usually edibile as well. Eat these with caution. Plants that taste soapy contain alkaloids and are probably poisonous.
