A knife/fork hybrid
I’ve had these for a couple of years now. A knork (a combo knife/fork) is perfect for french toast, pancakes, cooked vegetables and other soft to dente foods. It’s very well designed: the edge (on the outer fork tine) is just narrow enough to cut food but not so sharp as to cut your cheek. The knork also has wide platforms on each side to allow you to comfortably exert pressure with the side of your index finger without contusing.
