PHYSICAL

  • KEF LS50 Wireless II + KC62 Subwoofer. A “buy once cry once” splurge I don’t regret. I enjoy music from this crispy high-fidelity set-up every day.
  • Shapton 1000 grit whetstone. Learning to sharpen is a fun and satisfying skill. Pair this “buy it for life” sharpening stone with any serious Chef’s knife and you won’t need any other blade in your kitchen for a looooong time.
  • Electric Mosquito Racket. Can’t imagine a best way to spend $20. No more endless hunt, no mess on the walls. I won’t say it’s satisfying… but any fly or mosquito go “zap” instantly. This reference is reliable as, and the battery lasts forever.

DIGITAL

  • Sublime is an inspiration engine for ideas, a Pinterest for knowledge, and one of the most useful tool I came across in 2024. Wether you are a creative who would like more output, or you just need a “second brain with a soul”, this is the best platform to save anything that matters.
  • The Way app. I got seduced by Henry Shukman’s Zen and unique approach to meditation. You only have a single pathway to follow, and Henry is great and deep. I use to meditate with Sam Harris’s Waking Up which is amazing too, but might feel overwhelming for some. If so, give The Way a go.

This reminder from Epictetus:

Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants.
