HIC Milk Creamer Frother

Creates a frothy rich foam

I bought this milk frother for my son a while back. I chose it because it seemed like the least messy and most sturdy option for a kid who loves steamed milk. It also doesn’t require electricity and is easy to clean—there are just two parts! It’s straightforward to use, too. You just put cold milk in it (about a third of what you want the finished volume to be), put the lid on and push the plunger up and down for about 30 seconds. It creates beautifully velvety, fluffy milk, which gets even fluffier when you heat it. Watch for overflows in the microwave.

The frother also works on non dairy milks. I’ve tried almond and oat, which will get frothy but not quite as frothy as regular milk. It does not work to make whipped cream, at least with extra heavy whipping cream. The mesh that creates the tiny bubbles is too fine for cream, I think. This is a great tool to combine with an Aeropress to take camping…impress your friends with your fancy coffee!
