Cord management: claw hair clips

Clips hair and computer cables

A few years ago I tried using one of my wife’s hair clips to keep an extension cord wrapped up, and since then I’ve been using them for cords and cables of all kinds. They’re cheap, simple and ubiquitous.

They’re available everywhere, come in a variety of sizes, and couldn’t be easier to use: wrap your cable, attach a clip, done. Boom!

They’re inexpensive; you can get half a dozen medium-small clips on Amazon for $2.50, but you can often find them for less at dollar stores.

This isn’t a solution that’d work for heavy-duty power cords or long cables, but it’s perfect for most small appliance cords and home computer cables.
