An EU Ban on Greenwashing

The EU will be clamping down on the vague or unsubstantiated environmental claims known as greenwashing. This month Parliament and Council agreed to ban a range of misleading product/service claims and laid out specific targets such as “generic environmental claims, e.g. ‘environmentally friendly’, ‘natural’, ‘biodegradable’, ‘climate neutral’ or ‘eco’, without proof of recognised excellent environmental performance relevant to the claim.”

No Canucks in India

Thanks to a diplomatic spat between the leaders of Canada and India, the latter has shut down visa applications for Canadian citizens. Canada is reportedly the fourth-largest source of international visitors to India, sending more than 80,000 tourists and students per year. So far Canada hasn’t retaliated with a similar move.

Packing Pro Bundle

If you’re looking into upping your carry-on packing game, check out this cool Weekender Bundle of Pack-It products from Eagle Creek that’s a handy, well-designed collection. I especially like the toiletry kit with different compartments and the bundle also includes a garment folder, a shoe sack/laundry bag, and a packing cube. All are made from durable ripstop nylon and collectively add less than a pound to your bag weight.

Answers to Airplane Questions

I did a research dive this week on which airplane and airline questions get asked the most on Google and dug into answers for 16 of them in this post. I skipped “Can you bring weed on a plane?” and “Can you travel on a plane if there’s a warrant for arrest?” But I did tackle questions covering air marshals, crash stats, diaper changing tables, and “Can autopilot land a plane?”
