Piezo electric lighter
Each of the igniters on our gas stove have died one by one. Most people I know with gas stoves have this problem; you end up with those ugly plastic stick lighters hanging around the stove. They come in multi-packs because they only last a few months before you have to throw the whole plastic contraption away.
I wanted something both more beautiful and more durable. I tried a zippo, but the flame goes out when you tip it sideways and it doesn’t give you enough distance from the flame.
Then I discovered piezo electric lighters. No batteries or lighter fluid required.
I chose this model because the grip looked superior to the other piezo lighters on Amazon. It is good looking and sturdy in the hand. And here’s the kicker: if I average 5 strikes a day, it will last me 54 years.
