I work in senior healthcare. In my spare time I like to read and dance. I joined a bowling league just for fun last fall. My greatest day was bowling a 152 (with an 86 average!) — Renee Lipman

PHYSICAL

My rescue cat, Sophie.
I was thinking about fostering kittens in 2021, and came home with 3-year old Sophie. She had been in a hoarding situation and needed to be adopted. She loves to sit on my lap, sleep on my bed, and follow me around. I was able to teach her two tricks because she is very motivated by treats.

An afghan blanket that my mother knitted.
My mother, who passed away in 2012, was always knitting. She made afghans for EVERYONE! I have two of them and when I snuggle under one, I think of her.

Every two weeks I write a letter to a soldier.
I joined a group called Soldiers Angels where I get to choose who to write a letter to. It feels good to know that someone who is serving our country will get mail delivered to them while they are away.

DIGITAL

I love the Libby app through my public library.
I listen to audiobooks, and go through one every ten days or so. I listen whenever I am doing something else, like getting ready for work, driving in the car, doing dishes or laundry. I read both fiction and non-fiction and love getting my brain revved up.

I am in the process of digitizing all of my photo albums…only two to go!
Most of them are photos of my son so I have shared them with him on Google drive. It’s great for us both to have access to them now.

INVISIBLE

“This too shall pass.”
Whether good or bad, things change. Be thankful for the good. Be patient for the bad to pass.
