Air Bake Natural Cookie Sheets

img

Air insulation prevents top sheet from overheating which prevents burning

No more cookies that are perfect on the top but burnt on the bottom! This cookie sheet has taken our baking to the next level.

Air Bake sheets are made of aluminum with two layers with air in between metal sheets. This insulation helps prevent the kind of hot spots that burn cookies baked on traditional bake sheets.

Since my wife found these, we’ve discovered that they are are great for lots of things:

Home made pretzels cook to an even, golden crisp. (Recipe from Jason at BoingBoing) — not burnt on the bottom.

Pigs and blankets (we make them veggie style) are evenly browned all the way around. We no longer need to place them on a wire rack to prevent burning.

Taco shells heat up nicely without getting darker on the side laying on the sheet.

Home made french fries can be cooked longer, for a nice all-around crisp, without fear of burning the bottom.

We’ve been converts for about a year, but we trashed our traditional sheets right away. We’ve also picked up an AirBake Jelly Roll Depp Baking Dish (like a cookie sheet, but with a raised lip all the way around.)

Just be sure you don’t put them in the dishwasher – you don’t want water to get inside!
