Crowfoot Wrench

Tightens nuts in tight places

Every once in a while, a guest applies a bit too much force trying to turn on the faucet in the bathroom the wrong way, and the entire faucet moves in its seat in a marble vanity and becomes crooked and loose. So, I have to dive under the vanity and set the faucet back in place, and it’s always a frustrating, time-consuming, pray-and-hope operation – the nut that holds the assembly is large (1 7/16″) and the space is cramped and none of the basin wrenches, from basic to fancy, really work.

Until I discovered the crowfoot wrench, available in a great variety of sizes. What a game-changer! And you don’t need the gearwrench drive for this job. The leverage provided by the small handle is plenty to tighten the nut and some more. The satisfaction from the job done quickly, predictably and precisely is so great that I am looking forward to the next time someone moves the faucet. Except I don’t think it will ever happen again, because with this “mini-wrench” I was able to tighten the nut to the point that it holds the faucet in place firmly and securely.
