Monoprice SonicSolace Active Noise Cancelling Headphones
Cheaper noise cancellation
I made two trips from the US to Europe for work recently. During the first flight, I got no sleep, was completely exhausted after arriving, and was jet lagged the entire time I was there.
During the second flight, I got a few hours of sleep, arrived feeling relatively good, and adjusted fairly quickly to the time change. I credit a lot of the difference to these Monoprice SonicSolace headphones ($54). They are comfortable, they do a great job of cutting out the low frequency noise of an airplane, and the battery lasted the entire duration of my flight and then some. I find their sound for music to be adequate – they don’t match a nice pair of nice wired non-noise cancelling headphones, but they do pretty well.
Best of all, at $54 they are almost $200 cheaper than Beats noise cancelling headphones and $300 cheaper than Bose. I’ve tried them side by side with Beats, and it seemed like they did just as well at cutting out noise.03/30/18
