I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and work as a tour guide. I have recently escorted groups on the Rhythms tour: Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans. Another tour of mine is Niagara Falls to NYC. — Fritzi Lareau

Vegan chocolate cookies from Amy’s Bread in New York City. I don’t usually buy bakery goods when I am home, but when I am on the road I purchase a few of my favorites

My waterbed. Perhaps I am the last person in California sleeping in a waterbed. I’m happy to get home from a trip and snuggle into my warm, soothing waterbed topped with a goose down comforter.

My cat Lucas is so glad to see me when I get home. He snuggles up by my neck and sits on my chest. My other two cats, Ms. Praleen and Ms. Delilah may be glad to see me but they don’t show affection like Lucas.

Summer of Soul, a documentary about the amazing concerts in Harlem in the summer of 1969. I had wanted to see the film and it was showing on my United flight back from NYC. We were delayed so I watched it twice. What an incredible line up of performers.I was dancing in my seat.

Spotify. After watching Summer of Soul, I went to Spotify to listen to Sly and the Family Stone. I put “Higher” on a loop. Another favorite of mine is “I get high on you.” What an amazing talent. So sad he became a drug addict living in a van in LA’s Crenshaw neighborhood.

I listen to a lot of Deepak Chopra and recently he said, “the field of consciousness will never let you down.” I think about that a lot. He also said each one of us is part of the field of consciousness. I love that thought.
